But all this looking down (neck flexion) can leave your neck and upper back feeling sensitive and tired💪🏼 Reducing these symptoms can be quite simple if we can get our neck spending some time in the opposite position (neck extension)These are my 3 go-to exercises (and a little stretch) for new parents who are struggling with this. You can do them all sat on the sofa (hooray) and every little helps!I hope you find them helpful! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can I plank though!?   Ok, so w 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can I plank though!? Ok, so we tried to keep this reel as concise as possible BUT we know that Diastasis is a big worry for many pregnant people……and it needn’t be! This can cause a lot of fear of movement, and that is not the one during pregnancy. We want to be strong, functional, powerful humans that are capable of anything that pregnancy and labour throws at us – and don’t worry Hollie has your back 👆🏻 So, most of the juicy information is in this reel but a few points to really stress: 1️⃣ Diastasis is thought to be a normal, functional part of pregnancy and is thought to affect around up to 100% of women by the end of their pregnancy 2️⃣ Doming is not something to FREAK OUT ABOUT. If you are doming, and it feels very hard, and it’s not comfy, simply adapt the movement to make it a little easier 3️⃣ We are all different. What one pregnant person can do at 36 weeks will be different to what another pregnant person can do. Don’t compare. Just focus on you 4️⃣ Core work is so so helpful during pregnancy and there is SO MUCH we can do to keep our core functional You’ve got this!!  👇🏻 Got a question? Hit us with it below  💪🏼 Need more support, inspiration or guidance staying active during your pregnancy or postpartum?
